Metropolitan Region Photos

(If you need a map of the region, click here.)

The Metropolitan Region was created April 26, 1970, to combine the efforts of the PC and New York Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) and to help isolate the costs of operating the cost-intensive commuter lines radiating north and northeast from New York City. The Region was home to some of the more unusual electric power on the PC, such as the P2, S, and T class electrics, and of course, the New Haven's unique FL9.
