Rail Diesel Cars
Penn Central rostered a number of Budd Rail Diesel Cars, or RDCs. Both New York Central and New Haven operated RDCs, and they continued their service into the Penn Central era. PC subsidiary Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines also operated RDCs, but their RDCs remained lettered for PRSL and stayed on PRSL trackage in southern New Jersey.
