Observation Car

These photos are of PC observation car 7128, named George Washington. The car still exists today on the east side of Denver, Colorado, just off of I-70 around Havana Street. The car was built as PRR 7128, class POC85c, for Senator service. All three photos were taken in 1992 by Gene Fusco.

Baggage

thumbnail Here is a PC passenger car that still exists today: ex-PRR class B60 baggage car 7604 is seen at the Springfield, MA, Amtrak station on October 3, 1998. The car is located on the west end of the station, on the south side of the Conrail (B&A) main. It is on piece of track not connected to anything. The car had been used for storage but I do not know if it is still being used. The photo was taken from the end of the station platform by Jim Fellows. (110 K)

Railway Post Office
