PC: Re: Perlman Yard

The Selkirk Yard (I dont blame anyone for not calling it the Perlman Yard
after he let the NYC merge with the PRR), was in fact a yard MANY years prior
to the Perlman years. In fact I've seen a 1924 overview map of the NYC's $
25 million Castleton Cut off, that has Selkirk Labeled "Selkirk Terminal
Yard", with a notation that it is 6 miles in length. I'm pretty sure all
that Perlman did was modernize the yard, and I do know that a lot of towers
used for the yard were closed at that time and a new CTC facility put in use.
