The last issue of Shoreliner (New Haven Railroad Historical and Technical
Association's magazine) had an excellent story on the Old Colony commuter
lines. Articles about these lines have appeared intermittantly in earlier
issues. There is also the book "Cape Cod Railroads", which deals with the
Cape portion of those lines. The book "New Haven: The Final Decades" also
has a chapter's worth of information. Good reading!

The best bet would to ask someone familiar with the area. I've met
fellows that knew all the old track arrangements! Join the New Haven
society, they're frequently on display at local shows. They also have a
master index for all of their articles, which would help you tremendously.
There's a book or two, but I've never read them.
