Does anyone remember "MARC-EL." The combined RDG-LV-CNJ plus EL. The acronym
stood for "Mid-Atlantic Rail(road) Corporation - (plus) Erie Lackawanna.

This tidbit was from a Trains magazine in the early 70s (1974) as the red
ink really started to flow for the all the Northeastern rails.
