CR did have political battles which was why CR operated later with minimum
public funds and to do this an enrich their pockets by abandoning lines and
and throwing employees out on the streets. They abandoned the lines totally
and was their excuse for not needing them anymore. CR knew in a few years
they would go bankrupt and earlier approached BN and UP for possible
takeover that was denied by a federal judge.
