The PC 1100's and 4400's were not converted to coaches because MTA had
juristriction over such projects and already had New M-1 MU's on the
property and ex-D&H (some ex-EL) for service. You forgot Amtrak has
"Heritage" cars using the same construction as 1100's and 4400's and they
have no rush underneath becuase they say Amtrak? Do you have any photos of
these 1100's and 4400's to back up your statement?
