Ack!!!

A valid argument can be made that Athearn needs better everything except
the motor!  The majority of Athearn's performace issues come from their
extremely sloppy U joints, slip shafts, gear trains and sintered wheels.

The new can motors used in Athearn stuff, while not exactly state of the
art, contributes the least degradation to the whole system as it now
stands.
