Ken,

    All new power from the RS27 on up were all factory painted black 
and lettered by them and they definitely were Black. I have a clean 
shot of a C630 after delivery and is jet black. They were painted 
black ordered by the NYC for the pending merger, plus brunswick green 
was becoming dated and less manufactured. You never mentioned the 
brunswick green FP7's and GG-1's that indeed are Green.  All PRR 
repaints from 1960 up were black as directed by NYC management.
