PC: Brunswick Green?

Fellow PC fans,
    Was the official color of PC locomotives Brunswick Green or Black?  
Through the years I've heard one or the other  and even both as being used.
  With all the discussion of PC "black" recently it's a good time to ask
the question.    Microscale decals instructs modelers to use Brunswick
green.  I've painted models in both colors and both look fine to me.
    Whatever the true color was,  I agree with those who thought it was an
exciting scheme.   The sharp contrast of the body color vs. the bold white
lettering with yellow handrails to accent was dynamic.   PC freight cars
were the brightest on the rails in the era of "The Brady Bunch" and
"bell-bottom" jeans.  Remember those?
