Hi John,

       There is some truth to what they said. The PRR mainline from NY
to Wash DC was part of a massive improvement project in the late
1920s-30s that changed the line to what we see today. Grade separation,
curve elimination, flyovers and new interlockings, electrification,etc.
So they are not too far off. But you are also right about some parts are
well over 100 years old.
