I will be checking my slide collection this weekend to check on this unit.
If this person saw this GP9 in Conrail days it may have appeared to have
been a green color.  Some of the PC units went through so many acid washes
that the cheap paint used faded to a green color as time went on.  People
that only have seen Penn Central units during the days of Conrail
(especially in the 1980's) would think that these units were actually
painted green.  I saw a few of these units sitting in the Altoona scrap
line in the mid 1980's.  I used to wander through the deadlines at least
five times a year back in those days (Yes I took pictures).
