For Immediate Distribution: 
Genesee Valley Transportation Company (GVT Rail) of Batavia, NY is
pleased to announce the acquisition of Metropolitan Stevedore (Delta
Bulk Terminal) Alco C-636, number 1001. The locomotive was received, in
trade, for former Union Pacific C30-7 474 which was recently purchased
by GVT Rail. The unit is currently located in Stockton, CA and is being
prepared for shipment. 
The unit was ordered by the Pennsylvania Railroad in April 1968 and was
delivered as Penn Central 6342. The locomotive was renumbered and
repainted by Conrail to CR 6792 prior to purchase by DBT. The locomotive
will move as DL 6793. 
The locomotive will be moved to GVT subsidiary railroad, "the"
Delaware-Lackawanna, in Scranton, PA for overhaul and eventual use in
revenue service.
