For Immediate Distribution:


Genesee Valley Transportation Co. (GVT Rail) of Batavia, NY is pleased
to announce the acquisition of Metropolitan Stevedore (Delta Bulk
Terminal) ALCo C-636, number 1001. The locomotive was received, in
trade, for former UP C-30-7 #474 which was recently purchased by GVT
Rail. The unit is currently located in Stockton, CA and is being
prepared for shipment.

The unit was ordered by the Pennsylvania Railroad 4/68 and delivered as
Penn Central 6342. The locomotive was renumbered and repainted by
Conrail to CR 6792 prior to purchase by DBT. The locomotive will move
as  DL #6793.

The locomotive will be moved to GVT subsidiary railroad, "the"
Delaware-Lackawanna, in Scranton PA for overhaul and eventual use in
revenue service.
