According to an old Diesel Era, the ex-Monon C628s were heavier than the
new-build C628s by around 5 tons or so. I don't have the exact figure
accessible right now, so I'm not responsible to the nitpickers...
The reason why Monon ended up kicking their C628s back to Alco was because
they were just too big (read chubby) for their trackage. None of the former
Monons were given the nifty White Elephant paint, but Cornell Red instead.
