PC: E8 pilots

Both freight  and passenger pilots from P2K are correct,although the new
Intermountain pilots make them look inferior. I was talking about the slope
of the pilot. The "pure" passenger has a shallow angle, while this 3rd
option is  steep and there is no apparent provision for the coupler doors.
The ex-Frisco L&N units may have had metal work done to them,but from photos
it appears that this is a fabrication and not work done at the shops or in
running repair. It almost looks like they took the passenger pilot and bent
it down toward the ground. Sort of like modelers do when things go bad. Get
out the fine adjustment 22oz hammer and we'll make it fit.
