I have a hard bound copy of that book that I have read 4 or 5 times over
the years. Each time I pick up something new on how the managers found
ways to spend railroad revenue on everything but the railroad. I have
often wondered if the whole thing wasn't orchestrated from the get go. I
am sure that the powers that were all got their bonus for a job well
