Last summer, I was able to obtain a three day permit to be in the CSX Richmond
yard. I took full advantage of the privilege. Also obeyed all the rules and
showed all the courtesy. I had three days of waves from the employees. I was
really impressed. I was even shown where the ice shed was so that I could "ice
down" the diet Pepsis! I stayed where the yardmaster asked me to - a GREAT
spot, by the way - at the throat of the yard, across from the headquarters
building. The action was non-stop.  I found CSX to be extremely user-friendly,
as long as I stayed out of the way and respected "their" property.  Ed St.G
