The Elmira Branch had several diamonds on the north end with LV and NYC
branches; at Sodus the position-light signals still stand even though the
track over the NYC Ontario Branch and north to Sodus Bay is abandoned now.
The NYC line appeared to have conventional signals, perhaps the type with 3
lenses on the head, but all that remains is the masts.
It may depend on who built their line last, as I believe they were then
responsible for protection of both lines when crossing at grade. If you
have a timetable or rule book you might be able to deciepher some clues
from it -
