NS will retain one, CSX will get the other two, including the 4022 which is
Erie 833.
As far as I know these E8s will be used on the railroads'respective business
trains.
I have not heard any mention of any of these units being cut up. They are all
worthy of preservation, especially the 4022 which is the last Erie passenger
unit (original, not painted up) still in existence.
