PC: Roadbed

Dear Fellow Model Railroaders,

I was hoping someone could refresh my memory regarding roadbed choices.
A friend of mine is building a new layout and asked about "Micor", not
sure about the spelling.  He said that he was told that it was a good
alternative to Homosote.  Micor exhibits better moisture protection?  I
faintly recall a discussion about this about a year ago on one of my
railroad lists?  Thank you for your input.
