Some 4-8 years ago Atlas did C424's in two phases with Kato drives, and the
last run is still available in undec and some other roads if you look a
little. They also did C425's. Parts are also still available. With the
"Classic" series you can expect they will be run again, most likely
following the RS2 and RS11.
The one C424 on Pennsy was a former Alco demonstrator that ended up after
Conrail retirement, being rebuilt by GE at Hornell NY and sold to the GB&W.
The unit is still in service but I am not sure who bought it. Although
proclaimed to be the first C424, it bears a higher frame number than units
of EL and some other roads.
