I was 7 when the merger occurred, so I don't remember the NYC or Pennsy.  The
PC main line was 200 yards from the front door, and we had a great view of the
Huron River valley and tracks.  I remember liking both the PC and NYC cars &
cabeese for their color as a kid, as well as the frequent blue Rock and green
BN cars (my preferences showed up in the cars I bought back then)

PC gets the most attention for books, articles, memorabilia, etc, and I do
model the NYC somewhat, but have only a passing interest in the Pennsy.
