Around 1970, I purchased a dozen New Haven RR dinner plates at the
remarkable price of 88 cents a piece from a china wholesaler -- now I
wish I had bought his entire supply! Apparently PC was selling off the
old china surplus while they were purchasing their own. But since
Amtrak took over all intercity trains in 1971, the PC china would have
only been produced for an extremely limited period of time.
