PC: FL-9

With all the talk of FL-9s lately, I got a real treat this morning.
Coming out to the Hudson River tunnel into Penn Station in NY were two
Amtrak F units parked on a side track.  I'm no expert, but there were
shoes hanging off the trucks for third rail pickup.  They sure looked
like FL-9s to me.  Road numbers were 245 and 246.  I thought Metro North
was the only one still running them?  Any one know the heritage of these
engines?
