PC: MAJOR server problems

As you may have noticed, the server which hosts the Penn Central web
site and mailing list took a dive this weekend, as we lost a drive
in the machine containing (naturally) the web site documents and the
mailer configuration data. Fortunately, we have a backup, which was
restored this afternoon.

As of 3:35 PM EDT on 9/28, the server is back up, but limping along.
Some of the mail sent to the list did not get through.  I will try to
resend it later. Also any subscribeor unsubscribe requests as of 9/24
were processed. I will try to manually add and remove those requests
after 9/24 at a later time, once things get stabilized.

In the mean time, the mailing list is NOT available. The web site is up,
but is running VERY slow. When we are able to procure another drive for
the server, things will be back to normal. In the meantime, there may
be unexpected outages on the server. Please bear with me until we get
this mess resolved. I will let you know when things return to normal.
