When you follow-up to a message on a mailing list, pay attention to what
your mail tool puts in the header. Many mail tools will send to both
the originator of the message as well as the mailing list. This means
that the originator gets two copies.
Before hitting the send key, take a second to look at the header and
make certain only the list server is in the address. (Watch out for Cc:
also)
This goes the other way as well. Depending on content, it can be
fatally embarrassing to follow-up the *whole* list when you really meant
to send private e-mail... :^)
