Re: PC: Sam Rea green vs. Dispatch green

Dave I have noticed the same thing. My gut tells me that the ex NYC shops just used up their supply of Century Green until they ran out then switched to the new PC green. The PRR side had to order new paint so they started off with the " Correct " color !!!!
Same reason why the crew down at the Wilmington shops kept painting G's and RS-3 with DGLE and why the 4801 kept her 5 stripes well into PC . Old habits and loyalty's die hard. --------------  Ken McCorry

Gents....

Is it just me, or do the PC freight cars built in 1968 at the
Dispatch Shops have a different "green" paint than the cars built at Sam
Rea Shops? What is the correct shade of green for Dispatch built cars?
Thanks....
