 GE's Appliance Park in Louisville, KY was served by the L&N and SRR. I 
know the Whirlpool plants in Evansville and Ohio? were served by PC and 
predecessors.
 And you are right, trucks handle the vast majority of S&H for appliances. 
GE built a huge new warehouse out front of the Park with maybe 2 rail lines 
in and about 30 truck bays. Looks like one of those regional Wal-Mart 
centers.
