The lastest TRP Magazine has a large PC article called "Glorious
Penn Central-Tribute to an Unlikely Favorite". Lots of great photos. Our
own Jerry Jordak has an article in this tribute. Pick it up at a train
shop in Wilmington Del and notice the shop was selling our POST
magazine.

Yes this was a very good series of articles.  Really shows why the Penn Central was very interesting to watch.  I was a teenager when the PC disappeared but I am glad that I was able to spend a lot of time in my hometown watching Penn Central.

The article really showed that the Penn Central was a lot more than dirty diesels and slow trains. Back in 1975, in Tyrone, PA, the railroad hauled an awful lot of frieght....it certainly did not look bankrupt.

I miss the ore trains, the varied coal trains, piggy back trains, mixed freight trains, 40' boxcars, clean fallen flag boxcars, GP35s, and green cabooses!
