All of the X43D and X43E 40ft. boxcars were ex New Haven cars that were
re-built at Sam Rea Shops in March and April 1969.

Attached is a link to a LOAM ex-PC boxcar that is labeled as a X43E boxcar.

The car is an ex-PS1 boxcar but appears to be have the same style of
sidesill reinforcements that PRR/PC X43 boxcars also recieved.
Where these cars ex-NYC or perhaps ex-NH? Anyone have information on these
cars?
