Thank you for being honest. No offense taken.Your input and opinions in "N"
could help the society start something new. Several guys on the PCRRHS
modeling committee have been "in touch" (read: beating down doors for
several years) with manufacturers like Walthers & others (like WTRM) to
produce good quality PC HO models. The bottom line is that everyone that
runs the PCRRHS is (as you know) a volunteer. We all want to see "our"
respective interest in PC preserved. That's why I write a PC railroadiana
column for the PC POST & not a modeling column: railroadiana is my primary
interest. It's only natural that each will represent their own. Most of the
modeling efforts have been aimed at HO scale for obvious reasons- most are
HO scale modelers. But we could use some people who are passionate about N
scale as well! The head of the PC modeling committee is Mike Bradley, if
you would care to join them.
The simple fact of the matter is that Gary Wright runs a business and needs
to show a profit, obviously. As you said, he can produce whatever he wants.
If there is enough demand for N scale models, they will come. So I invite
you to invest yourself in the service of PCRRHS as an N scale modeling
liason, as others have done in HO scale. You may start something great! We
can use any help we can get & the more PC the better, regardless of what
scale.
Sincerely (and seriously, thanks for your honest opinion),
Gary
