The Central was really the only user,
I guess the Milwaukee Road, Santa Fe, Louisville & Nashville, Illinois
Central, Southern, Frisco, Western Pacific, Soo, Southern Pacific, Missouri
Pacific,
Burlington as well as many private owners ( Xtra, Torco, US Department of
Defense, Interstate, etc.)
don't count. The NYC ( and Pittsburgh & Lake Erie) was the largest user,
but were definitely not the only
user. Even the Ahnapee & Western had one car and 2 trailers.
Is it possible that the Flexi-Van trademark was actually owned by
Fruehauf/Strick who built most of the equipment ? Flexi-Van appears on the
equipment owned by the other railroads, so it was not just a NYC thing.
