PC: Interesting point

Hi y'all----Mr. Vargo just hit a point, I think. I don't know if you could say the PC merger was a "sit up and take notice" merger, given that it took a decade to actually come to fruition. It is, on the other hand, VERY true that it was in the back yard of Philadelphia/Boston/NY. ACL+SAL happened mostly in Southern, rural areas, but NYC+PRR was right outside the window and the side-by-side merger of two true giants, thus the sheer scale and location was perhaps of more immediate interest than the Route of Phoebe Snow's marriage and the nuptials of the Coast Line. Very interesting point.
