Re: PC: Cattle cars on TV-12

On one of the PC tapes I have, there is a scene of a
westbound freight train with about 15 of those 89ft cars at the head end
of the train. But it's not a Trailvan. I have to check but in the early
Penn Central (1968-70) era there was another train that carried
livestock.
TV-12M did carry livestock but I think the PR trains
carried livestock before the Trailvans. The livestock destinations were
Harrisburg,Phila(Cross Brothers) and Newark NJ (Linden Packing,Breilom
Packing).
Hope this helps.
