The RS-3M program used rebuilt prime movers taken from E-8 units. I'm not sure if any E-7 unit prime movers were used. I remember going thru the deadline east of Rose in Altoona in the spring of 77 and seeing many E units there mostly EL but some ex NYC /PRR and PC almost all with their prime mover/main generators removed. -----------------------------------------Ken McCorry
