Kevin,
I was there in 1972 for the first day of that auction. Wish I had funds then. It was just all the items, from over the years, that the PRR had in storage in one of there buildings. Probably with the intention of having a museum at some point in time that never got started as things were sliding down hill at rapid pace, (in my opinion).
