Neat picture! Fortunately, this engine later got a paint job:

According the all-time UP roster site at
http://www.utahrails.net/all-time/all-time-13.htm

"UP 673 (ex MKT 238) was sold to Helm Financial on 29 May 1998; rebuilt to
a GP38-2 by Boise Locomotive Co., Boise, Idaho; completed as UP 2587 on 27
September 1998 (assigned UP 1087)."

And before it went to the UP, 3112 worked for Conrail:

Interestingly, the only real "CR" markings it got were on the nose, as the
long hood appears relatively unscathed. (Or Conrail did a horrible job of
painting out the PC markings on the long hood and all of the paint fell off.)
