PC: Re: A1-A4 Designations

  Does anyone know what the A1 through A4 designations are for on PC rolling

  They are typically toward the right while facing the car.  The only
correlation I can make is that A2's were 'house' cars and A4's were hoppers.

Guessing in Barto:
I recall the same question at our convention in Starsburg. The assembled
clan of buffs had no answer although a theory was proposed of freight car
routing when empty, IIRC.
