Re: PC: Flexi-Van car numbers...




   One series you don't mention is the 500XXX series.  I have an early 
picture of a Flexi-Van with this number series.  Perhaps NYC renumbered them 
sometime in the 60's?  This picture is in a Kalmbach Model Railroader book 
called "Modeling Intermodal Operations and Equipment".  I don't have the 
book in front of me, so i'm not exactly sure of the title.  There is 
actually a couple of Flexi-Van pictures in there... one of them during the 
PC era (late '73).
