Although a free market energy generation economy has  been shown not to
work, at least under the current sets of regs and rules. A TRUE free market
would probably work. One where I can build a power plant when I want and
where I want and sell to whoever I damn well choose. The NIMBYs will kill
you on that one so it's back to government regulation. The same could be
said of both the trucking and airline industries, if they truely had to pay
for their respective infrastructures,airports and highways, costs would be
prohibitive.
