Yes, I saw that episode too. Almost made you want to cry with what they threw out (not just PC, but PRR & I'm sure NYC as well).

Once I saw someone with PRR art on Antiques Road Show. They had some Loewy design sketches. The owner said he fished it out of a dumpster, where a lot of this type of material went after the PC merger!
