Re: PC: pc 65 foot mill gons

I don't know about the availability of PC gondola pics on the net but here is
some info on the numbers and classes of PC gondolas that come close in
appearance to the 65 ft. E&B Valley gondola talked about. All of the cars
listed below were of the ribbed-side 20 panel variety with the long fish belly
and were all ex - Pennsy cars.

PC 594372 - 594607, Class G26A, Steel floor & drop ends: Quantity receiving
PC #'s: 3
PC 594608 - 594906, Class G26C, Steel floor & drop ends: Quantity receiving
PC #'s: 46
PC 594908 - 595405, Class G33, Steel floor & drop ends: Quantity receiving
PC #'s: 79
PC 595406 - 595604, Class G33B, Steel floor & drop ends: Quantity receiving
PC #'s: 37
PC 597001 - 597247, Class G33A, Steel floor & fixed ends: Quantity
receiving PC #'s: 65
PC 597249 - 597697, Class G37, Steel floor & fixed ends: Quantity
receiving PC #'s: 139

By the way, the E&B Valley car as factory painted for PC had the number series
for a 52 ft. gondola on it.

are there any good pictures of the mill gons to go by on the net? i'd like
to get as close as possible. modeling n scale you can fudge a little and the
great thing about modeling the DT&I and penn central is everything gets a
black wash so exact colors can be off a little :^)

thanks,
