Elgin, Joliet and Eastern in the Chicago area also had refitted Baldwins. 12
of their custom Baldwin 6-6-2000s were refitted by EMD with 567-series
engines and SW-style hoods which actually bulged out a couple inches on the
sides. EJ&E had 6 more reengined with newer Baldwin mills, and two were
junked.
