PC: Re: interesting errata



Tyco made a crude C430 from about 1969 through the early 80's with various
drives.   I originally thought the Pemco C430, now sold by Model Power, was
based on the same dies, but comparing the two side-by-side shows the Pemco
is a copy - although close, a lot of small details differ.  The late units
run like the throwaway junk they are - although they can be repaired, it's
usually not worth it.   They're not all that accurate...  but it seems as
though if you look hard enough you might turn one up in factory Penn Central
paint - probably in green (!) -

The MGA lettering was in the same font as NYC units, wasn't it?  if someone
knew what font it was maybe some custom decals close enough to be acceptable
could be made up.
