Addendum to my last message:

In regards to NYC GP-7 horn locations, I should have said "a standard horn
location" instead of "the" standard horn location.  The early GP-7s
(starting in August 1950 with NYC #5600) seem to have been delivered with
horns on the sides, while the later units (some time by #5728, made in 1953)
had horns on the top.
