Garrett,
I was going through my old ETT Northeast Corridor Region and
rules for conductiong transportation in order to answer your
question more clearly. When I find the reference I'll pass it on.
I do recall from my personal experience there were a number of old
NYC hacks and some exPRR wooden hacks that was not to be
pushed. Had to do with construction not condition or class. I will
admit when I worked for PC, the equipment in P'burg was ok. Old
but reliable.
It makes me feel goog that people are taking an interest in the PC.
I loved it. I knew/know guys that worked for both the NYC and PRR
and each have stories unique to their respective roads.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
Rich
