PC: Penn Central 2 color logo

Can anyone tell me when the Penn Central Corp. began using the red "P" and white "C" logo and when did they cease to use the same.  Also when did the Penn Central abandon the Lebanon Branch, PA line?  Any information would be greatly appreciated.
