In the early 90's the Bow NH coal train ran over the Boston Line to
Worcester MA ( and thence to Guilford) for a brief period of time. A
couple of times that I saw Selkirk threw a SD38 or U23C on the train
as part of the power. Not regularly enuf to be a burnout run, more like
an act of sheer desperation :^). They also threw in a SD45-2 one time.
After a few months they sent the coal train back to it's original Chicago
line/Rotterdam Jct/Guilford routing as it was just too heavy a train to
run east of Selkirk without helpers ( since they didn't want to run helpers).
